• The purpose of DBI is to equip believers with a general understanding of biblical theology and how to read, interpret and apply the Scriptures. 

• The 2-3 year course of study includes six modules:
                 Grasping God’s Word 
                 Knowing God
                 Humanity, Sin & Angels 
                 Christ & Salvation
                 The Spiritual Life 
                 The Church & Coming Days

• Teachers include pastors, professors and missionaries from various churches. Most have a Masters degree and some have a Doctorate.

• Modules run between 10-14 weeks each and are held on Sunday evenings at Davisville Church.

• Classes run for two hours each night and approximately four hours of outside work is expected for every two hours in class.

• The cost per module is $40 per student plus texts. Tuition money is used to pay teachers and to further develop resources for DBI.

• Grasping God’s Word is required to be taken first. Modules two through six can be taken in any order.

• Module 1, Grasping God’s Word, is offered each year starting in September. A syllabus for the class is available on-line at http://www.davisville.org/. After entering the site, click on Instructional Ministries in the Ministries drop down menu.

I would recommend that everyone I know take at least the first course…Grasping God's Word was so beneficial to help me understand God's word for myself. Applying what I learned gives me new insight everyday when I have my quiet time and study Scripture.
