Ministry Snapshots

We have many ministries that provide the opportunity to grow and walk together with other people from Davisville on our spiritual journeys. Here is a sampling:

Women's Ministry

Our women's ministry seeks to offer ways to help you take the next step in your spiritual journey through Bible studies and small groups, as well as special events throughout the year. In these casual environments women can develop relationships, grow, be refreshed and encouraged.

Men's Ministry

As Christian men, we are charged & admonished (Eph 5:22-33) to lead our family in the paths of righteousness. Ultimately we are responsible for what happens in our households; 100% of it.  The only way we can properly lead our wives & children is if we have a solid foundation of biblical knowledge, accountability relationships and other men that will encourage us, challenge us, pray for us and call us on the carpet when need be.  The Davisville Men's Ministry is about just that, helping advance men on their spiritual journey, through fellowship/teaching events, relationships and small groups.

Single & Parenting

Single & Parenting is a group for parents who are divorced, widowed, never married, or a spouse of a person in the military parenting alone. The group helps parents with parenting strategies, financial and relationship training, emotional guidance, personal support, and encouragement to make positive changes in their families. This 13-week Christ-centered program includes three main parts—video, group discussion and personal Bible study. Despite a tendency to try to do it alone, most single parents want to make sure their kids “turn out okay,” and worry they won’t. Single & Parenting addresses this concern, equipping single parents with tips on understanding each child’s needs, counsel on how to handle emotions, and most importantly, hope for the future.

Primetimers (55+)

Primetimers exists to provide an atmosphere where the social, educational and spiritual needs of our senior adult community are met.  Our meetings take place the third Wednesday of each month from September to May. They begin at 10 a.m. with a short devotional and a special feature each month, followed by a hot luncheon. A donation of $6.00 covers the cost of the meal. There has never been a time such as this when we need the fellowship of like-minded Believers. Primetimers is the place, and this is the time to celebrate and anticipate what God has for each one of us.

There aren’t many people around you who understand the pain your divorce or separation has caused – to you, your family and your friends. That’s the reason for DivorceCare. Divorcecare is a series of support groups and informational video seminars conducted by people who have been through and understand what you are experiencing. The format is built around a series of 13 videos, with discussion and sharing following each video. By interacting with people who are also experiencing separation and divorce, you’ll learn there are others who understand what you are feeling and will be able to offer you encouragement. You will also have the opportunity to talk about the information presented during the seminar. Many participants say these support groups are the most helpful part of the program. DivorceCare meets on most Tuesday nights, from 7pm-9pm.
