Children's Ministry Director - Full Time

Davisville Church is seeking a Children’s Director to influence our children and families to fully follow Jesus. We have a strong history of successful and meaningful ministry in our area. The director will become part of a fun, loving, and committed team of employees that strive to make disciples in our community. The job requires a humble heart, teachable spirit, dependency on God and willingness to work hard. He or she will be mentored by the Ministry Pastor who will seek to hone his or her abilities, understanding, and heart while leading the children’s ministry. Currently, Davisville Church averages 100 kids on Sunday morning, 50 during its mid-week program, and recently reached over 400 kids through its summer camp. This person will lead a solid volunteer team dedicated to seeing God glorified as he continues the works he has begun in the hearts of children and families.

Job Description

We desire to hire a Children’s Director that will lead a team of people in pointing families to Jesus, nurturing the faith of children and championing parents as the primary shepherds of their children.

Core Responsibilities:
• Work with the Ministry Pastor to provide vision and direction for children’s ministry
• Communicate with parents and volunteers regularly
• Recruit and develop a volunteer staff to assist in the work of children’s ministry
• Schedule and coordinate ministry meetings, events, and volunteers
• Provide safe, adequate, appropriate programming on Sunday morning and Wednesday night
• Provide child-care and family friendly insights for special events (Easter, Christmas Eve, etc.)
• Oversee curriculum and teaching for Children’s Ministry while sharing in teaching duties
• Develop and implement a plan for championing parents as the primary shepherd in a child’s life
• Delegate responsibilities as needed to multiply leadership and effectiveness
• Work with other ministries to provide unique ways of leading children toward maturity in Christ.
• Take responsibility for areas of usage in the Children’s Ministry
• Submit an annual budget for the children’s ministry and oversee its finances

Core Attributes, Competencies and Skills:
• Required: Understanding of childhood development; ability to develop relationships with children, volunteer staff and parents; clearly and consistently communicate ministry details; demonstrable ability/passion to develop and lead others; ability to teach; commitment to a team approach in leadership; ability to have honest conversations with others for their benefit and ministry effectiveness at least a Bachelor’s degree in Bible, Ministry, Theology or an adolescent related field; a teachable spirit; if married, have a spouse who supports his/her ministry.

Technology Director - Full Time

Davisville Church is looking to hire a Technology Director who is passionate about leveraging technology to reach people for Jesus. The Technology Director’s responsibility will be to support the ministries and vision of Davisville by overseeing our audio, video, and lighting (AVL) production needs and leading in the area of videography and media creation (MC). The director will become part of a fun, loving, and committed team of employees that strive to make disciples in our community. The job requires a humble heart, teachable spirit, dependency on God and willingness to work hard.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:
• Lead, train, schedule, and develop technology volunteer teams
• Assess and increase the abilities of volunteers related to their roles
• Assemble, communicate and confirm tech needs for worship services, ministry gatherings, and other events
• Oversee stage and large equipment set-up on campus
• Program AVL elements for worship services and events as needed
• Lead tech teams during services and events
• Oversee the vision, assessment, and maintenance of AVL/MC equipment throughout the facility
• Ensure that all components and equipment are in proper working order and troubleshoot as needed
• Ensure that the technical needs for events scheduled are in place and fully operational
• Champion and curate Media Creation (Video Production/Livestream/Podcast/etc)
• Pursue and create video content for ministries and staff for use online, in small groups, and worship services
• Attend appropriate events to enhance related skills and keep up to date with related techniques & equipment

Core Attributes, Competencies, and Skills:
Required: A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the AVL technology or videography field. Works well in a team environment. Experience with live production environments and standard equipment. Videography experience, including video editing software competency. Strong organizational and communication skills. High school diploma or higher and the ability to lift 50lbs of equipment and move around as required. Experience with NDI systems is a plus.
